1.Content standards
Content hosted or transmitted through VACLIC services must be lawful and must not:
- be defamatory, obscene, hateful or inflammatory, or promote violence or discrimination against any person or group;
- contain or link to sexually explicit material;
- infringe copyright, trademarks or other intellectual-property rights;
- deceive, impersonate or facilitate fraud, including phishing pages and counterfeit shops;
- violate the privacy of others or publish personal data without a lawful basis.
2.Prohibited workloads
Hosting plans are built for websites, applications and email. The following may not run on the shared infrastructure:
- BitTorrent and other peer-to-peer file-sharing software, in any role;
- IRC servers, bots and bouncers;
- proxy, VPN or anonymisation services of any kind;
- game servers;
- self-hosted file-sync or cloud-storage software used as a remote drive (e.g. using web space as a personal backup target unrelated to a website);
- cryptocurrency mining and similar sustained pure-compute workloads;
- unattended, long-running background processes not tied to serving your website.
3.Fair resource use
- Web space is generous because normal websites are small; it is for your website's own files. Audio and video distribution is capped at 250 GB of transfer per calendar month per plan.
- Autoscaling absorbs legitimate traffic peaks. Sustained consumption designed to extract maximum compute (rather than serve visitors) may be flagged and, if unresolved, limited.
- Mailboxes unused for more than 100 days may be deactivated after notice to the account holder.
4.Email and anti-spam
We operate a zero-tolerance policy on unsolicited bulk email. Sending spam — from a mailbox, a script, or a compromised site — leads to immediate suspension of the sending service. Bulk mail is permitted only to recipients who verifiably opted in, with working unsubscribe links. If your activity causes our IP space to be blacklisted, cleanup costs may be charged and the service may be terminated.
5.Security
- Do not access, or attempt to access, any account, data or system without authority — including "testing" other customers' sites.
- Do not transmit malware of any kind: viruses, trojans, worms, keyloggers, spyware or adware.
- Do not interfere with the operation of the infrastructure, network or software, and do not probe or scan it without written permission.
- Keep your own software patched; a site compromised through negligence and used for abuse is treated under this policy.
6.Consequences
Depending on severity, we may issue a warning, remove specific content, suspend or terminate the affected service, and recover the costs abuse causes us. Where the law requires it, we cooperate with the competent authorities. Violating this policy is a material breach of our Terms & Conditions.
7.Reporting abuse
Seen something hosted on VACLIC that violates this policy? Report it to contact@vaclic.com with the URL and a short description — reports are reviewed promptly.
